Bhubaneswar, June 22 -- The Southwest Monsoon advanced further into several parts of Odisha on Monday, bringing relief from the prevailing hot and humid weather conditions and rising daytime temperatures across the state, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

IMD sources said the Northern Limit of the Southwest Monsoon currently passes through parts of Bolangir, Bargarh, Nabarangpur and Jharsuguda districts, while most areas of Kalahandi, Sonepur and Sundargarh have also come under monsoon influence.

The weather office stated that conditions remain favourable for further advancement of the Southwest Monsoon into the remaining parts of Odisha over the next 48 hours.
