Kochi, April 1 -- The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has released its report titled 'Rising South: Next Wave of Growth' at the South India Annual Convention 2026, highlighting the region's critical role in driving India's economic transformation.

The report underscores that Southern India-comprising Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana-accounts for a substantial share of the country's economic output and continues to lead in manufacturing, technology, exports and innovation.

It describes the region as one of India's most dynamic and globally integrated economic clusters.
