Kolkata, Oct. 1 -- School Education Minister Dipak Barman called for a closer examination of the psychological condition of children and the reasons behind growing aggression among students.
Reacting to Wednesday's incident, in which a Class IX student allegedly attacked a classmate with a sharp knife inside their classroom, Barman said the episode was "extremely unfortunate and concerning".
The minister said a dispute over a torn book had escalated into an attack on a fellow student, raising questions about the mindset of school children.
