Mumbai, June 30 -- The issue of frequent power disruptions in South Mumbai came up during the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly proceedings on Tuesday with senior Congress MLA Amin Patel from Mumbadevi area raising the issue through a Calling Attention motion.
Patel said citizens were forced to remain in the dark for hours due to outages, with a backlog of around 1,200 complaints likely to rise during the rainy season.
He alleged that customer service calls go unanswered and fault repairs take nearly 2 years due to shortage of staff, repair vehicles, tools, and cables.
