New Delhi, April 15 -- : Southern regions led the performance charts in the first session of the CBSE Class 10 board results announced on Wednesday, according to data released by the board.

Trivandrum and Vijayawada topped the list with an impressive pass rate of 99.79% each, followed by Chennai at 99.58%. Bengaluru also recorded strong results, with 98.91% of students clearing the exam.

Trivandrum has consistently remained the best-performing region over the past five years, maintaining near-perfect pass percentages. Chennai and Bengaluru, too, have regularly featured among the top three, pointing to sustained academic performance across CBSE-affiliated schools in the South.
