Ranchi, April 11 -- Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday paid tribute to tribal leaders Sidho and Kanho at Sidho-Kanho Park in Morabadi on their birth anniversary.
Soren, along with MLA Kalpana Soren, offered floral tributes at the statue and said Jharkhand has a long legacy of resistance led by tribal communities.
Addressing media persons, the chief minister said the state has been home to many leaders who fought for the protection of jal, jungle and zameen and for their rights.
He said Sidho and Kanho had raised their voice against injustice, exploitation and oppression, and their legacy continues to inspire people.
