Ranchi, Dec. 6 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren appeared before the Special MP-MLA Court in Ranchi on Saturday in connection with a case related to the alleged violation of Enforcement Directorate summons.

Acting in compliance with a recent High Court directive, Soren reached the civil court amid tight security and furnished two bail bonds of Rs 7,000 each.

The Chief Minister appeared before the court of Judge Sarthak Sharma. After completing the judicial formalities, he left for his residence. Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan and several lawyers were present in the courtroom during the proceedings.
