Srinagar, April 8 -- Police in the Sopore sub-district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday said that they solved a theft case within 24 hours of its reporting, leading to the recovery of stolen property and arrest of two accused persons.

Police Post Putkha received a complaint from Shabir Ahmad Wani of Krankshivan Sopore, stating therein that during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, his workshop was burgled and items, including a genset and an oxygen cylinder, were stolen.

Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tarzoo and an investigation was promptly initiated.
