New Delhi, March 19 -- In a decisive move to prioritise citizens' lives, Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood has ordered for a city-wide fire safety audit which will include establishments in residential areas as well.

This comes after the tragic fire incident in Palam on Wednesday that claimed nine lives. The fire had struck the cloth and cosmetics shop located in the basement, ground and first floors of the building, and the affected families resided on the second and third floors.
