Visakhapatnam, Jan. 10 -- : Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, laid the foundation stone for four major projects at Visakhapatnam port here on Saturday.
The initiatives aim to strengthen safety, infrastructure, administration, and residential facilities at the port.
The projects include --Upgradation of LPG berth firefighting facilities at a cost of Rs 52.23 crore; Modernization of ORS Dry Dock for ship repair and revenue generation, estimated at Rs 35.87 crore; Construction of G 9 Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Administrative Bhavan with green building standards, costing Rs 97.70 crore and residential apartments at Harbour Park valued at Rs 44.20 crore, aimed at land monetization and enhanced living amenities for port emplo...
