Solar panels target set for 33,585 Patna households by October 30

Patna, Aug. 23 -- The Patna district administration has set a target of installing rooftop solar panels at 33,585 BPL households by October 30 under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

Of the total target, 5,585 BPL households will receive free rooftop solar panels, while 28,000 non-BPL households will receive solar panels with subsidy support.

District Magistrate Kundan Kumar, while reviewing the implementation of the scheme, directed officials and executing agencies to accelerate the installation process while ensuring that quality standards are maintained.
