Hyderabad, Nov. 4 -- BRS senior leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail today accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of resorting to "tokenism instead of transformation" by appointing former cricketer Md Azharuddin as a minister to divert attention from what he called two years of "broken promises" to Telangana's Muslims.

Addressing a press conference, Sohail said the Congress government had betrayed its Minority Declaration by shelving key commitments, including the Rs 1,000-crore subsidised loan scheme for minority youth and women.

"Not a single rupee has reached a single beneficiary. Budgets without disbursals are lies on paper," he alleged.
