Social activist seeks high-level probe into missing tahiya of Lord Jagannath during Rath Yatra Pahandi

Puri, July 21 -- Noted social and RTI activist Jayant Kumar Das has urged Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to order a high-level inquiry into the disappearance of Lord Jagannath's tahiya (ceremonial headgear) during the Pahandi procession of the Rath Yatra held in Puri on July 16.

Das on Tuesday submitted a petition to the Chief Minister through the grievance cell, requesting him to direct the district administration and the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) to preserve the CCTV footage of the Pahandi procession recorded inside the temple premises on the day of the festival.
