New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- World Cup-winning cricketer Smriti Mandhana was named the BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year for 2025 following her stellar performances for India.
Mandhana, 29, played a key role as India's vice-captain in their triumphant ICC Women's World Cup campaign, scoring 434 runs during the tournament.
Also nominated for the honour were India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, chess champion Divya Deshmukh, shooter Suruchi Singh, and hurdler Jyothi Yarraji.
Accepting the award, Mandhana described it as a memorable phase for women's cricket.
