Imphal, Aug. 7 -- A new skill development initiative aimed at empowering Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and local youth in Bishnupur district is set to roll out soon, with training programmes focusing on employable skills in the hospitality sector.

At a coordination meeting held today at the Mini Secretariat Complex, detailed plans were laid out for enrolling youth aged 18 to 25 in structured training courses under the TATA STRIVE programme. The initiative, facilitated by the District Administration in collaboration with the Manipur Society for Skill Development (MSSD), is designed to provide displaced youth with a path to stable employment and economic self-reliance.
