Puri, July 21 -- The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has lodged a complaint with the Simhadwar Police against an Odisha-based web portal for allegedly promoting paid VIP darshan and other unauthorised temple services through an Instagram post.
According to the complaint, the e-Odisha web portal uploaded a video on Instagram claiming that devotees could avail themselves of VIP protocol darshan of Lord Jagannath on payment. The post also displayed contact telephone numbers for bookings.
The portal further claimed that, under the EO Jagannath Dham Sahayak Seva scheme, it would provide Khaja (dry Mahaprasad), arrange hassle-free darshan through a pilgrim liaison, and organise special Aarti services for devotees.
