Mumbai, July 26 -- Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare today announced a major relief for beneficiaries of the Maharashtra government's ambitious 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana', stating that women whose e-KYC process remains incomplete or contains errors will be given additional 6 months to complete the process.
The scheme was launched during Eknath Shinde's tenure as Chief Minister and is widely believed to have benefited the Mahayuti alliance in the Assembly elections. However, subsequent verification revealed that several ineligible women and even thousands of men had allegedly availed themselves of the scheme's benefits.
