Tehran, June 24 -- Six people have been detained in Iran on suspicion of working for Israeli foreign intelligence agency Mossad, Iranian news agency Fars reported on Tuesday, citing an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) official.

"Six people working for the Mossad intelligence service were detected and detained in the cities of Razan, Nahavand and Hamadan," the official was quoted as saying by the news agency.

The suspects tried to create public unrest in cyberspace, the official specified.
