Bengaluru, July 23 -- Eight migrant labourers from West Bengal suffered burn injuries, six of them critically, after a suspected LPG cylinder leak triggered a devastating fire at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Bengaluru's industrial hub of Bommasandra early on Thursday, prompting police to book the building owner for alleged negligence.
The blaze erupted around 6.30 am on the second floor of Sai PG, where nine workers employed at a private engineering company were staying. Police suspect a gas cylinder leak sparked the fire, which spread rapidly through the room, leaving the occupants with little time to escape.
