Yadgir (Karnataka), April 17 -- Six people were killed after a head-on collision between a car and a private bus near Devapur in Yadgir district on Friday. The car was completely gutted after catching fire.
According to police, the impact of the collision triggered a massive blaze that engulfed both vehicles almost immediately, leaving the car occupants trapped inside with no chance of escape. All six persons travelling in the car were burnt to death at the spot.
The car was travelling from Yadgir towards Raichur, while the private bus was heading from Bengaluru to Kalaburagi when the accident occurred near Devapur in Surpur taluk.
