Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 26 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged Sabarimala temple gold scam has questioned businessman D. Mani as part of the ongoing investigation, official sources said on Friday.

According to the sources, Mani was summoned based on statements made by a foreign businessman during the course of the probe. Acting on these disclosures, the SIT conducted searches at Mani's residence and business establishments in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, after obtaining the necessary search warrants.
