Dehradun, Oct. 17 -- The Uttarakhand government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe allegations levelled by state Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya against her husband, Girdhari Lal Sahu.
The decision to order an SIT probe was taken by the state government on Friday evening in view of allegations made in the FIR that Arya feared for her life because of her husband.
The 10-member SIT will be headed by SP (Rural) Jaya Baloni.
In her complaint lodged at the Cantt police station in Dehradun, the Uttarakhand minister accused her husband of harassment, using casteist slurs, forging her signatures on documents to remove her from the post of director in a company, and conspiring with another woman to kill her.
