Bengaluru, Oct. 24 -- Karnataka Industries Minister MB Patil today said that the allegations made by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi regarding alleged voter deletion irregularities in the Aland constituency stand "proven" following the preliminary findings of the SIT inquiry.
Speaking to reporters, Patil said that preliminary findings have indicated that a sum of around Rs 80 per vote was allegedly taken to delete each vote from the rolls in Aland. He said this substantiates Rahul Gandhi's earlier charge that the BJP had resorted to "vote theft" to influence electoral outcomes.
