Nahan, Aug. 28 -- Parthenium Eradication Day was celebrated at the Regional Horticulture Research and Training Center in Dhaula Kuan, in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
Scientists and staff launched a campaign to remove Parthenium, or carrot grass, from the campus.
The program raised awareness among farmers, staff, and the public about the harm caused by this weed, its identification, and effective control methods. The campaign was conducted in the presence of Dr. Priyanka Thakur, Associate Director of Research and Extension.
The primary objective was to educate participants about the growing Parthenium weed and its adverse effects.
