Hyderabad, July 29 -- Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudarshan Reddy on Wednesday clarified that the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has no connection with any government welfare schemes and is being conducted solely to prepare an error-free voter list.
Reviewing the progress of the SIR process with District Election Officers and Collectors, the CEO directed officials to complete 100 per cent digitisation of enumeration forms by August 3, with only five days left for submissions.
He said 76 per cent of digitisation has been completed across the state and 90 per cent in rural areas, while praising Khanapur, Balkonda, Yellareddy, Huzurnagar, Narsampet, Wardhannapet, Parkal and Bodh constituencies for a...
