Hyderabad, June 27 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Saturday said the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is a constitutional exercise aimed at ensuring free, fair and error-free voter lists, and accused the Congress, BRS and MIM of misleading the public over the process.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office here, Kishan Reddy said the SIR exercise is a routine administrative process undertaken by the Election Commission to remove duplicate, deceased and ineligible voters while ensuring every eligible citizen is enrolled.
