Shillong, July 1 -- The enumeration phase for the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls commenced with house-to-house visits by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across Meghalaya from June 30, for distribution of Enumeration Forms (EFs) and verification of electoral details, an election official said on Wednesday.

Chief Electoral Officer Brahma Deo Ram Tiwari said that 1,19,129 EFs have been distributed on the first day of the house-to-house voter verification drive, covering 5.07 per cent of the 23,49,645 state electors, with an average of 662 electors per BLO.
