Patna, June 24 -- The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) on Wednesday granted Stage-I clearance to 36 projects with a proposed investment of Rs 1,628.60 crore in Bihar.

Development Commissioner-cum-Chairman, SIPB Mihir Kumar Singh said here that the clearance was granted in the 68th meeting of the board which reviewed various investment proposals aimed at accelerating industrial growth in the state.

He said that 36 projects with a proposed investment of Rs 1,628.60 crore were granted Stage-I clearance, while financial approval amounting to Rs 44.89 crore was accorded to seven projects.
