Puducherry, April 8 -- The election authorities on Wednesday seized silver coins and other items from the factory owned by Muthialpet Congress candidate Eram Rajendran.

According to sources, the Returning Officer of Thattanchavady constituency received information that gift articles to lure the voters for tomorrow's assembly elections was stored in the factory owned by Eram Rajendran at the Thattanchavady industrial estate.

Following this, election flying squad officials conducted a raid and seized 85 T-Shirts with the photo of the candidate, 599 tokens, 400 silver coins and Rs.64,000 in cash.
