Siliguri, Sept. 11 -- Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Friday extended his greetings to the personnel, officers, soldiers and veterans of the Indian Army, particularly those serving in Sikkim, on the occasion of the 60th Nathu La Vijay Diwas.
In his message, Tamang paid tribute to the courage, valour and sacrifice of the armed forces, saying the historic occasion serves as a reminder of their "steadfast commitment to protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity" of the nation.
The Chief Minister expressed deep respect for all personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty and described Nathu La as a "lasting symbol of the courage, determination and national resolve of the Indian armed forces".
