Gangtok, Sept. 14 -- The Gyalshing district administration in western Sikkim on Monday conducted a field inspection of a landslide site at Rimbi following overnight rains, to assess the ground situation and the safety of residents living in the area.
The inspection was led by Gyalshing Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Bhawesh Khyalia along with officials of the District Administration and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Panchayat representatives and residents.
The administration assessed the situation at the landslide site and reviewed the vulnerability of families living close to the affected area.
