Gangtok, Sept. 17 -- Incessant rain continued to disrupt road connectivity across Sikkim on Thursday, with landslides, mudslides, water accumulation and unstable road conditions reported at several locations, prompting authorities to issue safety advisories for motorists and travellers.

At 20th Mile in Bardang along NH-10, a car travelling from Singtam towards Rangpo reportedly got stuck on the landslide-affected stretch at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday as the road remained soft and cracked amid continued rainfall. The occupants were reported safe. An NHIDCL excavator was deployed and the vehicle was subsequently pulled out, while police personnel remained at the spot to assist with traffic movement and safety.
