Significant drop in temperature due unseasonal rains in several districts of UP

Lucknow, Oct. 30 -- Several districts across Uttar Pradesh have witnessed a sharp dip in temperatures following unseasonal rains triggered by the impact of Cyclone Montha.

Intermittent showers in cities such as Kanpur and Lucknow have led to a temperature drop of up to five degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall in Purvanchal today and tomorrow, particularly in the Varanasi-Mirzapur division, where intense rain activity is expected.
