Mysuru, Jan. 6 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday urged the central government to implement the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) and Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) schemes, pointing out that despite several years of BJP rule at the Centre, these schemes remain 'unexecuted'.
He questioned why the Centre has 'not acted' even though state committees have been formed and reports submitted, noting that some members of the Dalit community may even oppose these measures.
The Chief Minister also criticised the renaming of the MNREGA scheme as VB G Ram G, highlighting that despite Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes comprising 17% and 11% of the population respectively, there has been no meaningful discussion on the matter. He further not...
