Bengaluru, Aug. 4 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday moved to contain signs of discontent following the Congress Cabinet expansion, firmly denying any rift with former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and asserting that the induction of 19 ministers was a collective decision taken under the guidance of the party high command.
With speculation rife over Siddaramaiah's absence from the swearing-in ceremony and resentment among legislators denied ministerial berths, Shivakumar said the Congress remained united and that there was "no question" of Siddaramaiah being upset.
