Siddaramaiah flays Modi over GST, calls it long-ignored burden
Mumbai, Sept. 5 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today delivered a sharp rebuke of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government over the Goods and Services Tax (GST), accusing them of ignoring long-standing warnings that the system would burden small businesses and ordinary families. "From the very beginning, we warned that this 'Gabbar Singh Tax' would crush small businesses, escalate compliance costs, and burden ordinary families.
