Bengaluru, April 28 -- In a strong message to the bureaucracy, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday called upon Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) officers to root out corruption and shut the doors on "middlemen", warning that inefficiency and delays only breed malpractice.
Addressing officers after inaugurating newly constructed facilities at the Karnataka Administrative Service Officers' Association, he made it clear that governance must be clean, swift and people-centric. "Delays in processing files create opportunities for corruption. Officers must act with integrity and ensure that work moves without unnecessary hurdles," he said.
