Sydney, Oct. 28 -- India cricketer Shreyas Iyer's health condition has shown signs of improvement, with doctors confirming today that he is now stable and out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a Sydney hospital.
The 30-year-old had been rushed to the hospital following internal bleeding caused by a severe on-field injury during the third ODI against Australia.
Iyer sustained the injury while fielding when he dived backward to take a spectacular catch to dismiss Alex Carey. The impact caused a serious injury below his left rib cage, leading to internal bleeding and dangerously close to body vitals.
