New Delhi, Feb. 25 -- union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday inaugurated the three-day National Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research campus in Pusa and outlined a comprehensive roadmap for agricultural reforms aimed at achieving 'Viksit Krishi-Atmanirbhar Bharat'.
The annual mela is being organised at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI). The event began with a ceremonial plantation by the Minister.
Addressing the gathering, Chouhan said that withholding farmers' payments will attract 12 per cent interest, making it clear that delays will not be tolerated.
