Shivamogga (Karnataka), Aug. 2 -- A couple and their three-year-old son were killed after a rain-triggered landslide buried their shed in Karnataka's Shivamogga district in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Mallikarjun (35), his wife Nagaveni (28), and their son Santosh. The family, originally from Kokkaregaru village in Gangavathi taluk of Koppal district, had been residing at Indiranagar in Shivamogga.
According to police, the tragedy occurred around 2.30 am when a portion of a hillock collapsed onto their shed while the family was asleep. The sudden collapse trapped the three members beneath the debris.
