Bagalkote, March 14 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Saturday said he will travel to New Delhi along with state ministers to seek the support of Karnataka's Members of Parliament regarding issues related to the Upper Krishna Project (UKP) and objections raised by Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to reporters here, Shivakumar said he, along with ministers MB Patil and RB Boseraju, will meet MPs from the state at a meeting scheduled at Karnataka Bhavan on Tuesday at 6 pm.

He said Karnataka had already been granted approval for the UKP, but Andhra Pradesh had submitted a representation to the Central Government opposing land acquisition related to the project. The Centre has sought reasons from Andhra Pradesh and has also issued a...
