Bengaluru, March 13 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and state Congress president DK Shivakumar has once again stepped into the role of the Congress party's crisis manager, personally overseeing the relocation of 14 Odisha Congress MLAs to Bengaluru ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections in a bid to prevent cross-voting and maintain party discipline.
The legislators arrived from Bhubaneswar late Thursday night and were received at Kempegowda International Airport by Shivakumar's aides before being escorted under police security to a private resort in Bidadi in Ramanagara district, where they will stay until the polling scheduled for March 16.
