Bengaluru, June 28 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday laid the foundation stone for a three-lane twin tunnel project connecting the Hebbal Flyover area with the Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) campus, asserting that the project would help ease chronic traffic congestion in one of the city's busiest corridors.
The short transitory tunnel will link Hebbal Junction to the UAS Staff Quarters through the KVAFSU campus and is aimed at improving traffic flow in the northern part of Bengaluru, which witnesses heavy vehicular movement due to its connectivity to the airport and adjoining areas.
