Bengaluru, Aug. 9 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's visit to New Delhi on Sunday assumed significance amid continuing discontent in the Congress following the recent cabinet expansion.
Ahead of his Delhi visit, Shivakumar held a series of meetings with senior Congress leaders, including B K Hariprasad, senior minister Ramalinga Reddy, MLC Saleem Ahmed and Shivalinga Gowda.
The meetings were held at the KPCC office and reportedly focused on portfolio changes, filling the vacant ministerial position under the women's quota and demands from senior legislators who were left out of the cabinet expansion.
Shivakumar has also been meeting disgruntled senior leaders in an effort to cool tempers within the party.
