Lingasagur (Karnataka), May 10 -- Karnataka's political temperature briefly spiked on Sunday after Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar brushed aside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remark suggesting instability in the state's top leadership, insisting instead that "no chair is wobbling" in Karnataka.

Speaking to reporters at Lingasagur in Raichur district, Shivakumar, who also serves as Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, projected confidence in the state government's cohesion.

"No chairs are wobbling in Karnataka. All chairs are stable. I don't know what the Prime Minister is seeing," he said, pushing back firmly against the Centre's political jibe.
