Mumbai, May 15 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) has raised strong concerns over the severe difficulties being faced by mango and cashew growers in the Konkan region and demanded immediate government intervention to support affected farmers.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and secretary Vinayak Raut highlighted the problems faced by horticulture farmers in a detailed representation submitted on behalf of farmers from the coastal belt of Maharashtra.
According to the party, unseasonal rains have caused extensive damage to mango and cashew crops across the Konkan region, leading to major losses for farmers.
