Pune, July 11 -- Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader Sonali Marne met Maharashtra's Minister of State for Home Affairs, Yogesh Kadam, to raise concerns about disturbing surge in crimes against women in Pune and demanded immediate action to ensure the safety of women in the city.
Highlighting this concern, Ms Marne indicated a serious lapse in women's safety in Pune and demanded immediate intervention.
While presenting official crime statistics to the minister, she proposed several critical measures to curb crimes against women, including strict enforcement of laws with swift and severe punishment for offenders, strengthening the police force, with increasing the number of women police squads.
