Shimla, May 3 -- The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted smoothly across nine examination centres in Shimla district on Sunday, with a total of 3,627 candidates appearing for the exam.
According to Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Pankaj Sharma, as many as 3,738 candidates had registered for the highly competitive medical entrance examination, out of which 3,627 appeared, while 111 remained absent.
"The examination was held in a peaceful and well-organised manner across all designated centres, with adequate arrangements made by the district administration to ensure smooth conduct of the examination," said Sharma.
