Shillong, May 1 -- The bail application of Raj Kushwaha, one of the key accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi 'honeymoon' murder case, has been rejected on 'technical' grounds.

Kushwaha's legal counsel, Phuyosa Yobin, moved the bail application before the Court of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Judicial), Shillong, East Khasi Hills district, Dashalene R. Kharbteng on April 29 and the order was passed on Friday.

"The bail application of Raj Kushwaha was rejected on 'technical grounds' and not on the basis of merit," Yobin told UNI.

He informed that a fresh application would be moved in court seeking bail for Kushwaha, who is currently lodged in Shillong District jail.
