Shillong, July 30 -- The Shillong Bar Association (SBA) has suspended an advocate accused of molesting a woman intern, while condemning his public parading by non-state actors.
In a joint statement issued on Thursday, SBA President H.R. Nath and Secretary T.L. Jyrwa vehemently condemned the alleged molestation committed by the advocate against the female intern and decided to issue a show-cause notice to him.
"Such conduct, if established, violates professional ethics, constitutional values, and the dignity of the individual, and is wholly unacceptable," they stated.
